Khm.

Not quite. It is like sending an ethnically Polish regiment of the British
Army (or, more realistically, of NATO) into Northern Ireland. (The Gurkhas
are about as "local" to East Timor as a regiment from Lublin would be for 
Belfast. Hint: not really...)
