sectors and world Powers" by Modelski & Thompson:   p.125:  
Evolution of the World Economy, as consisting of the following
eras:  Bronze, Fertile Crescent, Iron, Silk Roads, Market Economy, and
since 1850, World Market.   For more detail for the Global economy 
of the last millennium, see P.132.              GM
