Dear colleagues,
Globalistics may be the only topic to have been that heavily commented by scholars and politicians for over 30 years, since the founders of the Rome club introduced it in scientific and public discourse. Today there is hardly any new approach to the analysis and any new conceptualization of the globalistic issues. However, a new spate of transformational processes in the world dramatically exacerbated the problems of globalization and put the mankind on a new trial.
Scholars of the countries of fledgling democracy facing the problems of globalistics offer new incentives to elaborate innovative aspects of fairly antiquated subject matter. Of positive effect may also be cultural disparities exemplified by scientific mentality of the new independent states, the former USSR republics.
Significant in this sense, as believed by many colleagues, is an innovation by a group of Ukrainian scholars – the universal epochal cycle as a methodological tool for analysis and prognostication constructively complemented by a system of six societal indicators measured by the scales of binary oppositions. The empirical work has been carried out in Ukraine since 1992, while its conceptualization – since 2000. Exactly this year the working draft of the interdisciplinary scientific synthesis was outlined in a book ‘The Social Development A.D.’ released by the Parliamentary Publishing House in authorship of Doctor of Sociology professor Edouard Afonin, Doctor of Law professor Oleksandr Bandourka and Candidate of History Andriy Martynov. The release opens a new scientific series ‘Open Research Conception’.
Recently a new book ‘The Great Delta (Global Problems of the Present: Socio-Historical Analysis)” by these authors has been released. This book is offered to the Publishing house for publishing in English. Please find attached a brief annotation and contents of the book.
We would be very grateful for your considering a possibility of publishing the book mentioned above in English. We would be also grateful for any piece of advice which would be of help for finding a publishing house for dissemination of Ukrainian experience of globalistics among our colleagues abroad.
