Re: value-free?

The value-free social science notion has always interested me. What I wonder
is if it is possible to be strongly objective if one proclaims to be
value-free? What are often taken together - value-neutrality and objectivity
- have long struck me as two separate goals: the first, to give ideological
direction scientistic cover; the second being the path of critical sciencce.
