Hi Albert,

I'm a member of the world systems mailing list but have been quesent in the
list of late due to other activities. I wanted, however, to just send you
this private `side-bar' to say I liked - and learned from - your analysis of
the world system as one humanocentric world system, with hegemonic centers
rising and falling in different geographic locales. This `more wholistic'
account of human history and affairs is a means of giving due weight to
particular epoches (hegemonic centers), while maintaining a clear view of
the network of interactions between all cultures and geogrphic locales.
