I think what is not discussed, and as a matter of fact it is embedded within current international law, is the very idea of 'sovereignty' and why a country should disarm itself while others are armed? Given Saddam is an evil-doer, which is beside the point, and Irak is armed with mass destructive arsenal; does this make a case for attack? Then, why should others not attack another armed countries with far worse destructive arsenal of arms? And the thought is very striking that again after four decades of political de-colonization the same colonial powers come back to the scene and make a case to 'contain' the evil-doers? Amazing!
