Actually it is no longer hushed up. On the radio yesterday (NPR) the discussion centered around the way in which Blair had plagiarized his report and how much it may cost him in terms of Labor Party support (in the UK) even though the qualification is added that he, like his US counterpart, appears immensely confident that whatever he plans to do is 'the right thing'.
