C and Q-Y - you raise an interesting question - what is the correct use of the label "world-system ideology" ? I understand the distinction that you are making, i.e., the ideology (belief system, analysis, paradigm, theory) of the "World(-)System" school of scholars (your use) versus the ideology (belief system, analysis, paradigm, theory, propaganda) of the really existing world-system (my use). I was more thinking along the lines of "The German Ideology", where ideology means the ideology of the really existing (in the 19th century) German society. Funny, I did not think of the views of the "world(-)system" school of scholars as ideology. But you are right, one could call that an ideology, too. But mind you, my article is critical of the really existing world-system, rather than self-critical of the WS enterprise. Thanks - glad you liked the article.
