Label it nonsense if you will, but the UK has an extraordinarily severe anti-terror laws that are a grave infringement of our civil liberties. Tony Blair is the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. He is the (overwhelmingly popular) democratically elected leader of the nation. He is not a terrorist. He has spread a message of war - against the Taliban/ al Qai'da (mission accomplished) and against the despot (and mass murderer) Saddam Hussein. George Bush is the President of the United States of America. He is not a terrorist. Jacques Chirac is the President of the Republic of France. He is not a terrorist. Ariel Sharon is the Prime Minister of Israel. His nation is at war and regularly suffers large scale butchery of its citizens by fanatical suicide bombers who have sworn to annihilate he and his people. He is not a terrorist. Hamas is a terrorist organisation fighting for the destruction of Israel and the restoration of the entire region as an Islamic Waqf. It is a self-professed Islamic nationalist movement. It has a long history of murdering of innocents. By suspending your judgement of these killers are you also suspending judgement of the Israeli activities in the West Bank? May the Intefada blow itself out and may peace, dialogue and sanity return to that troubled place. If Hamas even came close to "winning", it would not matter. I sincerely doubt the Jews would submit themselves to another Holocaust. The entire region will glow with post nuclear radioactivity before Israel is conquered by force.
