IV International Oil and Gas Congress

Dear colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that I invite you to participate in the IV International Oil and Gas Congress “Oil and Gas Complex: Strategy of Development” on May 6-7 2002, in the heart of Paris at hotel “California Champs Elysees”, France. This highly regarded and innovative meeting is held by Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Union of Russia together with Russian Academy of Sciences with participation of International Energy Agency. The target audience includes managers of oil and gas companies, energy producers, oil traders, pipe-lines construction companies, consulting and engineering companies involved in oil and gas sector.

The Congress held annually is traditionally focused in highlighting the most acute questions in world oil and gas market alongside with deep analysis of Russia’s energy policy. The invited speakers representing IEA, Russia and CIS countries government officials, top managers of oil and gas companies will discuss the questions of the cooperation in the field of energy security due to the last changes in the world. You will also have a chance to hear about the new possibilities for international investors on the Russian oil and gas market.

The main topic of the gas session will be perspectives of “Gas Alliance” of Russia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan and principles of its activity. The idea was expressed by Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, during his meeting with President of Turkmenistan Saparmurat Niyazov and creation of so-called “gas OPEC” can greatly influence the world gas sector.

The Congress provides for vigorous audience interaction with speakers and colleagues via panel discussion and Question-and-Answer sessions, among other opportunities.

The participation fee is 1100 USD for the first delegate, 1000 USD for the second delegate and 900 USD for the next participants. This fee includes Congress materials, synchronous English/Russia translations, four coffee-breaks, two lunches and one Monday evening dinner event.
