Thanks to everyone who sent in the information about the HOAX of the so-called "sulfnbk" virus. The only problem is that the last message, from symantec (if you click below and go to the symantec website) went into such detail describing the hoax that it is possible someone would read that message and mistakenly follow the hoax instructions that are included at the end! Simply put, don't delete the sulfnbk.exe file, and get a virus program and updateit every few weeks. It doesn't take long.... alan s. ----- Original Message ----- From: <tellafriend@symantec.com> To: <wsn@csf.colorado.edu> Sent: Saturday, June 02, 2001 5:09 PM Subject: SARC information on: SULFNBK.EXE Warning > wsn- > > I thought you'd like to read about SULFNBK.EXE Warning at the following URL: > > http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/sulfnbk.exe.warning.html > > This service is brought to you by the Symantec AntiVirus Research Center (SARC). > > Luís Antonio Cardoso > luemar@domain.com.br >
