Gert's suggestion is eminently reasonable and useful, but since it
is the hope of most progressive social scientists interested in (the)
world(-)system(s) to contribute to the supersedure of the modern global
version, I think there needs to be a fourth purpose: to discuss ways and
means of making the transition to a just and democratic world order.
