ADC Update: ADC Ad "To stop the violence Israel must end its occupation"
Runs in Major Papers

An advertisement from ADC deploring Israeli attacks on unarmed
Palestinian civilians and demanding an end to the Israeli occupation is
running in 10 major American newspapers over the next few days, including
the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, and Detroit Free
Press. It includes a photograph of a Palestinian youth being dragged
by an Israeli soldier. The youth's shirt is being pulled by the
soldier, practically covering his face which is turned away from the
camera. Another soldier is twisting the youth's arm and also pushing
him forward. Under the picture, the large headline reads:
"Stop the violence against the Palestinian People. End the Israeli
occupation."

Below that are the following three paragraphs:

"The Palestinian people are the only people in the world still living
under military occupation. In the past three weeks over 100
Palestinians, mostly children and young adults, were killed and more
than 3000 were injured while protesting Israeli occupation.

Israel's deliberate shooting of unarmed Palestinian civilians and its
use of tanks, heavy artillery, and attack helicopters violate every
international convention and should be opposed by the American people.

To stop the violence Israel must end its occupation."

Further advertisements and public awareness efforts, so badly needed
during this crucial period, are being planned and will be announced
shortly. Please help defray the costs of these public awareness
efforts by sending your contribution to ADC. Also, if this ad runs in
your local paper, please call and thank them for running it.
