Free Trade and Jordan

MID-EAST REALITIES - www.MiddleEast.Org - Washington - 10/24:

It's a pay-off of course. Costs the U.S. very little since Jordan is a very
small place. But it's a potential big boost for Jordan's economy and it
helps
insure that Abdullah II will stay firmly in the U.S. orbit -- as if the
half-British
King whose English is better than his Arabic had any other notions.
Actually,
the U.S. granting of complete "free trade" status to Jordan today is more
about
keeping Abdullah II in power than about any worries he would defect back to
his
own people while on the throne.

It's also another powerplay by the Israeli/Jewish lobby, without whose
encouragement Bill Clinton wouldn't be signing anything with Abdullah II here
in Washington today.

Abdullah I was brought to Transjordan by the British in the 1920s (he has
never even visited there previously). Transjordan morphed into Jordan after
Abdullah made secret agreements with the Zionists and Whitehall to carve up
Palestine between them. Then the first Jordanian King passed on into history
when he was assassinated by Palestinians at the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem
as he moved toward even closer relations with Israel.

How fitting it is that it is Abdullah II who is now being paid off by the
Americans (and the Israelis) for continuing in the tradition of the Hashemite
Family and being essentially a Western agent in the heart of the Arab world.
In recent years, as thanks for help during the Gulf War, for helping with the
"Peace Process", and then for signing the formal Jordanian-Israeli peace,
considerable economic, military, and intelligence benefits have already
flowed to Jordan.

And now, even while the Palestinian people are being assaulted by American
supplied helicopter gunships, Abdullah II has come to Washington to sign
today's
agreement at the White House. Nothing seems to phase these Hashemites when
it
comes to lining their own pockets and collecting their pay-offs -- they do it
even while the Arab world is enraged not fearing it seems that they will be
told
to stay in Washington rather than going back to Amman.
