                            CALL FOR PAPERS

For this coming year's ASA meetings in DC, the PEWS section is sponsoring
an open session on "Mentalities, Ideologies, and Cultural Constructions in
the World System"

I am open to receiving any/all papers on cultural aspects of the
world-system, from class consciousness to art and popular culture.  There
can be empirical data, ethnographies, theoretical, or historical studies.
Postmodern approaches will not be excluded.
