Invitation from ASEAN-L

Dear ASEAN Scholars:

Greeting from Indiana University.

By way of this note, I invite you to join the newly created information
and discussion list "ASEAN-L" about Law and Regional Integration issues of
ASEAN. This list is hosted by Indiana University Information Technology
Services and sponsored by Professor Joseph L. Hoffmann of Indiana
University School of Law and myself. The list was created mainly (but not
exclusively) for intellectual discussion and sharing news/information
about challenging issues in regard to law and regional integration of
ASEAN. This is a great opportunity for ASEAN scholars to be able to
communicate affectively through state of the art technology.

As the new century approaches closely, we are observing that ASEAN is
heading toward deeper integration as a community of culture, people, and
economy, either by the desires of members or the international demands. As
regional integration is normally developed through harmonization of
national laws and policies, it is worth observing how ASEAN national laws
and policies are being shaped by the forces of regional integration
through both formal and informal channels. With that in mind, this list
is created for you.

The list is a partially moderated list in the sense that only subscribers
can participate in discussion and can post messages to the list. The
owner and list administrators reserve the right to eliminate messages
which contain inappropriate language and any message that was purposely
written to anger a particular group or person.

To join the list, you have to send a subscription note to:

        listserv@listserv.indiana.edu

and command as follow:

subscribe ASEAN-L Your Name (no email address)

Note: please do not write anything in subject line.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this list, please send
your message to me at tmyint@indiana.edu

Your participation is highly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Tun Myint
