I agree with Eric's point about the environment, which I have made before.

We should be pursuing a "red-green strategy" through all available means.

Of necessity, this will require using existing states to counter the power
of global capital and its instruments such as the WTO.

A "world party" will not be one of those means in the immediate future,
and I do not see trying to create one as a productive use of limited time
and energy.
