The March of the Americas, the month-long trek of poor and homeless
people from Washington to the UN to publicize the lack of human rights
for the poor in the U.S., begins this Friday, October 1 at 10 am in
Lafayette Park, across from the White House.

The rally there will last about 1.5 hours. The group will then walk to
the FDR Memorial before beginning their march up I-95. They plan to
walk about 15 miles a day. If you can, join them for a day, a night's
encampment (they'll have political and cultural events each evening and
large tarps for your sleeping bag ) or a weekend -- bring the family.

Whether you can be there for the kickoff of not, donations are needed
and can be sent to:

The Kensington Welfare Rights Union
P. O. Box 50678, Philadelphia, PA 19132.

Help build our people's movement for social & economic justice!!
See you this Friday!!
