Modern as in modern architectdure: exploitation?

On MD of Albany's response
Modern architecture: le Corbusier, Neutra, Wright,
glass-wall buildings, curvilinear Saarenan-type
roofs and buildings -- they are not pure Western.
They contain a great deal of Chinese, Japanese,
and Indian influences, as well as Greek, Near
Eastern, and pre-1800 Western.
So, if exploitation exists, it surely is not in the
architectural styles. Small wonder that this
international architecture exists everywhere in Asia
and in the West.
Those who find "international architecture" boring --
that's ok with me. Gothic architecture probably bored
as many people in 1400.
