Myrdal / India quote

Somewhere Myrdal made a statement to the effect that "unfortunately, the
state of affairs is such that, if India disappeared in the Ocean, the world
economy would not notice". It would be nice if someone knew the reference
for that. This quote is probably from the 1950's or 1960's. Today Asian
troubles cannot be ignored by the world economy (qualified progress, in the
sense of Professor Frank).
