You may be referring to Stuart A. Bremer, a former member of our
Political Science Department. He left here a few years ago to join the
Political Science Department at Pennsylvania State University. His
current address is Dept. of Political Science, Pennsylavnia State
University, 107 Burroes, University Park, PA 16802-6200. Bremer is a
great believer in quantitative "world modeling" to determine trends and
make forecasts. I would imagine that he would not find much use for
world-system theory. I never got to know him when he was here.
