Re: Condemning Pinochet: a no brainer!

Yves Bajard's query on why the US, or any country for that matter, should
be allowed to bring Pinochet to justice, strikes me as a choice example of
the problem with much of the contemporary left. Sure, the hands of the US
are as and more bloody than those of any other state in the contemporary
world. That fact, then, becomes the excuse for doing nothing with regard
to Pinochet? While the right goes out and *does* things -- everything
from organizing school boards at the grass roots to engineering coups
at the tree tops -- the left finds itself paralyzed by a no-brainer
like whether or not to support holding Pinochet accountable for his
crimes. I say hang him high!
