I'm teaching some courses next semester on urban development and
change at City University in Hong Kong. I haven't been in
touch with any of this literature for about five years.
I'd really appreciate some suggestions that approach urban
processes and a full range of related issues from a
world-historical perspective (or a world-system perspective), or
any critical material that you think is very good. You can
