department with established undergraduate and graduate programs and an
active research program; baccalaureate, M.A. and Ph.D. degrees awarded.
Candidates should have qualifications appropriate to appointment with
tenure, including national and international reputation for scholarly
productivity in research, and demonstrated teaching competence. Candidates
also should have a record of administrative effectiveness or demonstrate
high promise of leadership and administrative competence. Salary
