The academic question of "scientific" prediction of collapse, etc. is
not one that a gentleman reading books in his apartment or teaching
teenagers from other people's books would ever be able to satisfy.
As one of those 'intellectuals' who left Romania in early 1980s, after
years of "living" research among real people and corporate
shortcomings, I left that system with an intimate knowledge of its
systemic imminent disintegration. I wish that same myopic 'ex cathedra'
moralizing lecturing would not continue with the same superior
ignorance of reality, always behind the events.
