I can't believe they latched onto an issue of cousin
marriages. In my part of the US, they have to ask at
the court house whether or not you are trying to marry
your first cousin. This was somewhat humorous for me,
ethnically Calabrian/Albanian-Italian-American
marrying a Japanese. The clerk couldn't seem to spell
either of our names from verbal prompts
(J-A-N-N-U-Z-I, and so on).
