We didn't pull ALL the stops on this little action. I guess as we get 
older we're learning
ways to keep from having to spend the night sleeping in a tree.

Jenny's Live Oak trees look good...considering the power lines still 
have to run between.
Got AE to disable the unused primary (7200 v) lines instead of 
cutting about 12 feet
off the side of century + old live oaks.

I'm working on translating this effort into a community wide 
consciousness of how to
save trees, plant trees, and seriously mitigate the heat island 
effect as well as enhance
the public's appreciation of the urban forest.

This comes under one of our "think globally - act locally" squeaky 
wheel strategies for
saving the planet. Part of it is obviously to put yourself in a 
position where you can make
the rules.
