The final report from the Helsinki Conference 2002 - Searching for Global
Partnerships is now available, the Helsinki Process continues

An international conference entitled 'Helsinki Conference 2002 - Searching
for Global Partnerships' was hosted by the Finnish Ministry for Foreign
Affairs in Helsinki 2.-4.12.2002. The conference focused on the need to
establish stronger global partnerships and to seek more inclusive and
equitable global governance methods to resolve urgent challenges related to
globalisation. A range of stakeholders contributed to the conference,
including representatives of non-governmental organisations, the academia,
the private sector, and governments. The final report from the conference is
now available on the conference web site www.helsinkiconference.fi

Building on the basis of the conference, the Helsinki Process is to take the
open, multistakeholder dialogue forward. Preparations for this forum on the
development of global governance are underway following the concluding
remarks made at the Helsinki Conference and included in the report.

The website of the Helsinki Conference provides a focal point for following
the Process. Should you wish to send us your comments on the report or the
