Overview
The possible outbreak of war in the Mid-East has obvious socio-economic and political implications for the Caribbean. We at The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, are conscious of the need to confront the myriad of issues that are emerging from the current crisis. We have undertaken to host a seminar entitled "The Iraqi-US Crisis: Implications for the Caribbean" which seeks to provide a forum for a critical evaluation of the ideological, diplomatic, economic, socio-cultural and political aspects of the crisis.
