Race, Nation, and Gender in world-historical perspective

Greetings,

In the fall I'll be teaching a course on race, nation
and gender for the first time.  I'd like to make it
world systemy in scope if I can.  Any suggestions for
readings and films? So much of the work done on this
topic is US centered I'm beginning to have my doubts. 
The trilogy I listed do not have to be all represented
in the readings.  Does anyone have a syllabus they can
share with us that touches on any of these three?
