Wallerstein's essay

FP Foreign Policy magazine for July and August has a brilliant article by 
Immanual Wallerstin.  The article, written, at Yale where Wallerstein was a 
scholar in residence, does a beautiful job of showing that America does not 
have a global hegemony and that America's hegemony is shrinking fast.  
Wallerstein states that America is in the position of  implicilty supporting 
the Israelis against the Palestinians.  He disapproves of this.  Perhaps we 
need to rally the U.N. to settle the issues.  Wallerstein and his warnings 
not to attempt to bully the world, and the rest of his article seem wise.
