An editorial in the Guardian / England is along similar lines. In an article,
entitled
"Let there be justice for all, Mr Bush ", Lord Gilmour of Craigmillar (a former
Secretary of State for Defence) at:

http://www.observer.co.uk/comment/story/0,6903,676639,00.html

calls for an "imposed solution" that is fair - imposed by Americans and
Europeans together. (But the American military does not think like a fair-minded
British lord.)

There is also an informative review article of Israeli and Arab press in World
Press Review at

http://www.worldpress.org/Mideast/490.cfm

This is a quote from the article:
"A recent opinion poll published in Israel
showed 46 percent of respondents saw
                     "transferring" Palestinians out of the
West Bank and Gaza Strip as an
                     acceptable means of ending the
                     Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Pollsters
from the Jaffee Center of Strategic
Studies at Tel Aviv University questioned 1,264 Israeli
Jews
during the first three weeks of February. The survey,
published
on March 12, has a 3-percent margin of error. "

46 percent for ethnic cleansing - is that relatively high or relatively low?
