I would be very surprised if the US government would use the Whitehouse web
domain to "censor" sites, if you recall, the ICANN webservers or the ISP
webservers are a much better way to do this.

I suspect this is another of the urban legends. You may also want to check
whether your mouse pointer was moving over a whitehouse weblink!.
