Bin Laden and the Left

I can't understand why folks on the left would be taking bin Laden's 
side.  He's a fundamentalist right winger, sort of like a klansman or 
American Nazi.  He is a die-hard anti-Communist, who was trained and 
supported by the CIA in the 1980's when people like him were 
considered heroes by the American right.  In a way he's like Hitler, 
who was an admired figure among American conservatives in the 1930's, 
until he turned against the West.
