PEWS NEWS

PEWS NEWS (the newsletter of the Political Economy of the World System 
section of the ASA) is planning to expand to include texts as well as 
announcements.  We are looking for submissions that might include (but don't 
have to be limited to):  directions you believe world systems research should 
move in (or innovations in the social sciences that need to be addressed by 
the world systems community), world systems perspectives on contemporary 
events, and efforts to incorporate a global perspective into the classroom 
setting.  Submissions do not have to be as polished as they would for a 
journal, and, if accepted, would reach the world systems community much more 
promptly than a journal piece.  Please send submissions to
