My name is Nina Eisenmenger and I am working as a junior
researcher at the iff - institute for interdisciplinary studies of
Austrian Universities, Department of Social Ecology. In one of the
research projects I am dealing with the influence of international
relations on the regional society-nature interactions. As analytical
frame I am using the World System Theory.
During a first scan of the literature two questions arose that I would
like to ask to you:
- I would need the citation of the literature where I can find a
description of the theoretical concept of Wallerstein´s World
System Theory. I have already some literature out of the Journal
but I´m still missing the original work of Wallerstein himself. In the
four books where Wallerstein is describing the historical
development of the world system I could not find a passage where
his theoretical concept is presented.
- secondly I would need some hints on empirical work especially
with information on the indicators (economic and others) that are
used in working on the World System Theory.

Thank you for your attention and I´m looking forward to your reply.
With best regards,
Nina Eisenmenger
