Dear list member I am a Dr. candidate and study the world-system theory (Wallerstein). I am looking for literature to the following subject: Szymanski (1982) claims that the USSR and the CMEA countries composed a autonomous (socialist) world-system that was linked to the capitalist world-economy by 'luxury' or 'non-essential' exchanges. So far so good. But is there a more elaborated description of the socialist world-system available then "socialist mode of production in which rational and democratic planning prevails"? I'm looking for any references to "socialist world-system", "socialist world-economy(?)", and/or "socialist mode of production". If anybody could send me some references that would be great. Thank you very much! Juerg ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Juerg Arpagaus Cand. Dr. rer. soc.
