Now I'd really like to hear if someone would care to make a
counterargument about "the core shifting west" and China emerging
as the leader of the next hegemonic cycle (or perhaps the one after
that?), reverting, of course, to the days before the pesky European
upstarts started sailing all over and setting up profitable colonies and
so forth...
