The original message referred to a website in Australia entitled "Futurewatch", which, so far as I can gather, contains a religious (what kind?) perspective on contemporary economic and political developments. The reference to the 50-year cycle (culminating in the Jubilee Year) given on this site comes from Leviticus, which is commonly dated to the second half of the 6th century BCE (i.e. it's postexilic). The people who set up the site seem to be arguing that the Jubilee cycle is identical to the 50 year Kondratieff cycle. What this has to do with Frank's 500-year cycles outlined in _Bronze Age World System Cycles_ I haven't a clue. -- Boris Stremlin bc70219@binghamton.edu
