activism and academia

A point I forgot to make is that the charge of "reformism" is at least as
likely to be aimed at activists by radical academics than the other way
around. More likely, in my experience.
Activists are trying to accomplish something, not analyze it, and most
times that means getting something done short of radically transforming
society. It's definitional in regard to activism in non-revolutionary
times.
