This week's 'Economist' magazine (21oct00) carries an article titled
"Anti-liberalism old and new" and subtitled "Today's backlash against
globalization weaves together ancient and modern strands of thinking.
Politically, the result is stronger than many liberals care to admit."
The article presents a lecture by David Henderson, "distinguished
academic, former chief economist of the OECD and noted liberal" in which
he presents the extent of the backlash against globalization and
capitalism.
