University of California-Riverside. The Institute for Research on World-Systems invites applications for an Assistant Research Scientist position. The candidate will conduct historical comparative research, supervise graduate student researchers, and contribute to collaborative social science/physical science research on interactions between social and environmental change and urbanization. The position is a one-year academic appointment (with possible reappointment in subsequent years). A Ph.D. in a social science discipline is required. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong promise of future funded research and proposal development in relevant fields.
