Emilio-

This is obviously very important, and I am missing something: exactly how
does this method differ from that used by the World Bank?

I am certainly not surprised that U.S. inequality may be significantly
higher than what is commonly reported -- I always emphasize to my students
that wealth inequality is far higher than income inequality to augment the
U.S. having a middling GINI.

But I would feel more confident using revised stats if I knew how and why
they are more accurate.

Thanks,

RH
