Dear Chris,
I enclose an announcement that I hope you will circulate to PEWS list and beyond.
It is for a special double issue of the Bulletin of Concerned Asian Scholars just out on
East Timor, Indonesia and the World Community.
I enclose it both within the body of the text where it will lose formatting and more, and as an attachment.
Thanks,
mark
Announcing a special double issue of the
Bulletin of Concerned Asian Scholars (32:1+2/2000)
East Timor, Indonesia, and the World Community:
Resistance, Repression, and Responsibility
Richard Tanter, Mark Selden, and Stephen R. Shalom, editors
BCAS has published a 144-page edition of the Bulletin of Concerned Asian Scholars on East Timor, Indonesia, and the world community, with articles written by an international group of scholars and activists. All of the contributions in this issue are imprinted with the crisis of the moment (as events unfolded in the fall of 1999), but the more than 20 articles and accompanying materials also bring to bear the expertise of authors with a longer view of the politics, economics, society, and military affairs of East Timor, Indonesia, and the wider arena of Southeast Asia and the world.
Copies of the 144-page issue (Vol. 32, Nos. 1+2, 2000) are available for $20 each (US domestic postage included) or $25 per copy (airmail postage outside the USA included) from BCAS, 3693 South Bay Bluffs Drive, Cedar, MI 49621-9434 USA. Write for information about bulk discounts: tfenton@igc.org.
