Globalization 2

To Richard:
You said that my proposals lack "praxis".
At present it does not seem to be impossible to guide the WTO towards
different goals, since developing nations have by now a majority and
industrialized nations seem to have understood the message from Seattle,
that it is necessary to make globalization compatible with the interest of
the great majorities. But to have a real chance for success, NGO's will
have to keep up the pressure, in order to convince the industrialized
nations, that they have to name new representatives to the WTO and the IMF,
who will take such interests into account.

For all this to happen, we need a blueprint that combines the vital
interests of both sides and is logical enough to sway at least some of the
decision makers. Naturally such a blueprint needs the cooperation of lot of
knowledgeable people. I do not pretend to be one of them and my posting
was only intended to start a discussion, which might result in such a
convincing blueprint.
