A NON-ECONOMIST'S VIEWS ON UNEMPLOYMENT.

>From a viewpoint of common sense, there are 2 basic strategies to address
the problem of unemployment in industrialized countries:

1. Governments must use the ideas of Lord Keynes for mitigating the
business cycle and
2. Governments and especially the WTO must recognize the principle, that
trade can only be reasonably free, if it is also reasonably balanced.

I should like to present arguments supporting these 2 statements in more
detail, if the members of this group were interested in such a discussion.
