For an overall introduction, Thomas R. Shannons. 1996.  _An Introduction
to the World-System Perspective._ Boulder:  Westview.  I sthe best single
volume accessible to undergrads.

Several new readers have been listed recently, and as soon as the page
proofs clear, I'll be listing another.  The use of these will depend on
what you are trying to do in a course.
