I can only speak for myself, but perhaps there are other subscribers to
the WSN who face the same dilemma as I do:
While I would very much like to read the postings, some
contributers tend to submit *very* lengthy "essays", which forces me to
delete most of the postings - unread. I receive well over 100 emails a
day. Also - as is the case with all WSN subscribers - I am a very busy,
over-committed scholar.
Perhaps those of you who tend toward rambling, thesis-length
contributions might try "tightening up" your submissions. No doubt I
am missing interesting perspectives, but when 25-50, 2-4 page WSN messages
show up daily in my in-box, I have no choice but to hit the "D" button.
Relatedly, those of you who feel compelled to make multiple
contributions daily (I don't know where you find the time!) might consider
stepping back and "listening" a bit. Think of it as a virtual roundtable.
Just a thought...
