Richard,

The point is that it depends on whether an enterprise (in the generic
sense of the term) uses labor to generate surplus value, or whether it
uses labor to better meet the needs of those who seek it services. If an
enterprise needs help to better meet the needs of those who seek its
services, then that enterprise should seek extra labor. But "Mom and Pop"
should not be benefit financially from additional labor. A producer is
exploited in a corporation or in a small business, Richard. The size of
the firm doesn't obviate that fact. It is in principle just as wrong when
a family firm exploits labor and ecosystems than if a transnational
corporation does it. The differences is only the scale.
