Recently, an interesting opportunity crossed our desk at JWSR. We
learned of the Amazon.com Associate program, a potentially interesting
enhancement to the JWSR web site. In exchange for putting links to buy
specific books (such as the ones we review) or just a general link to
Amazon's site, we receive a small percentage of sales that directly
result.
We could definitely use a little extra income to cover our
expenses, but the main purpose of this post is to gauge people's opinions
as to the appropriateness of this option. Is this suitable for a scholarly
journal to be doing?
